E-NOVA - LAMBRETTA x IED
Four talented Product Design international students (Jacob Downard, Giulia Quistini, Giacomo Reggiani, Thibaud Rollet, Thomas Smith) collaborated with the famous italian scooter company Lambretta for the realization of their thesis. They came to Exphonic Studio asking to bring their project to life with outstanding audio. The thesis was based on creating electric scooters E-Nova which should've incorporated the old Lambretta mechanical feeling and a more futuristic engine type of sound, so they asked us to help them reach this result. We also did all of the sounds for the marketing-animation teasers which have been casted in the final project presentation.
We also designed the electric E-Nova engine sounds for every type model. They have been designed to maintain the original vintage Lambretta scooter feeling, very rough and distinctive, mixed with a more futuristic and jet-like nature. The result is a very powerful new-age hybrid vehicle which is impossible not to turn around to watch when it passes by. E-Nova has implemented 3 categories for the e-scooter Deluxe Edition: Performance Mode, Normal Mode and Eco Mode, so displayed below.
